Scarlett's Room

I have been living with my parents for 6 months now (and YES I am LOVING it and I hope they are too!).  We were here since the housing up at Fort Drum is about a year wait and that's if your lucky!  Due to that there isn't anything to rent in the area.  So we closed on our second home just days before Christmas.  My mom and the kids made the 4 1/2 hour trip north in the beginning of the month to collect our household goods, so far everything looks good but the couch didn't make it in!  We left the next day so my mom could make it to my nephews play and my brother Croix's birthday was the day after that.
Anyways since we found out we were moving early last year we have been promising Scarlett a special room.  She wants a rainbow room and while we have some rainbows in it (she really just wants lots of colors), it will be a perfect little girls room.
Let me introduce you to my new love and obsession but if you've never done it before let me warn you it's addicting!!!!  So it's called Pinterest and remember I warned you!  It is a site full of great ideas, tips, crafts, decorating, recipe's, how-to's, pictures, party ideas, products you name it and it is probably there!
It is this site that I am using to get many fun and cute ideas for Scarlett's room. Here are a few things I've done with her so far and a little sneak peek to her room...

Her 'S' using buttons!
I love how simple and beautiful these embroidery hoops with fabric came out.  They have a vintage look which of course is perfect for any little girls room!  She picked out the fabric and had fun doing it(Just a bunch of fat quarters, if you had scraps around even better, and then some embroidery hoops) .Scarlett thinks they are cute little polka dots for her room and has enjoyed rearranging and stacking them!  I think there need to be double the amount though, it's going to look great!
Something very fun to do? Crayon Art!  Scarlett helped me pick out the crayons and glue them onto the canvas.  Once the glue was dried we both had fun watching the crayons melt with a hair dryer!

This one is almost done, we just have to add some flowers:
Thank goodness we have a toy room in this house!  Here are some things to decorate that room:

My mom said while she was up at 2am one morning she was thinking this needed to be on a square canvas and I agree with her; I also think it should be bigger!  Maybe a redo?
I LOVE how Scarlett draws people, this so happens to be a picture of her and Zachary:

Well that's all for now. I head up to the 'white house' as Scarlett calls it at the end of this week to unpack everything and throw a baby shower for a close friend who is also stationed up there :o)  So once I get the room all finished up I'll post more pictures :o)
